Cost: £220, including room, all tutoring and materials, lunch, dinner and refreshments on day one, and breakfast, lunch and refreshments on day two.

Retreat Description:
On this course, students will learn how to create gossamer weight felt to make beautiful wraps and scarves. They will be shown how to create different edges in the felt and how to incorporate different fibres and threads in the surface design. There will be time to create more than one wrap or scarf over a two day course, and materials are included in the price. Extra fibres will be available to purchase for students who want to continue working at home. This course is suitable for beginners and more experienced felters.

Bio:
Catherine has a first degree in Education and History Of Art and has completed the 4 year City and Guilds Course in Embroidery. she is a member of the International Felt makers Association and has exhibited nationally and internationally with them. She is a member of Textilia3 and exhibits with them and at the Solar Gallery in Ilkley as part of an artists co-operative.

Catherine has 20 years experience of delivering inclusive workshops for beginners and more experienced students. She has run workshops at Craven College, Oxford Summer School for Arts,Crafts and Music, for The Embroiderers Guild, The International Feltmakers Association as well as organising her own workshops.
