Great North Swim

Great North Swim brings thousands of people together for a unique weekend of open water swimming, community, and Lake District beauty. Whether you’re tackling your first open water swim or going all-out for a 10K, there’s a place for you in the water. Expect a fully supported course, a festival atmosphere, incredible views and a shared sense of achievement. 12th to the 14th June 2026

Fred Whitton

One of the UK’s most revered and gruelling cycling sportives. Known as “The Daddy of them all” by Cycling Weekly, this legendary event is not just a ride—it’s a true test of endurance that rivals Europe’s toughest cycling challenges, such as the Marmotte. For those who conquer it, the sense of achievement is unmatched.
The Wheelbase Fred Whitton Challenge was the first Cycle Sportive in the UK and is now regarded as the hardest one-day cycling event in the British Isles.

Keswick Mountain Festival

Keswick Mountain Festival is a celebration of outdoor sports and adventure, running 15–17 May 2026. Expect a fully immersive experience, combining world-class mountain sports, live music, inspirational speakers, top outdoor brands, and a tempting selection of food and drink.
With 16 sports events on offer including trail running, hiking, open water swimming, road cycling, triathlon, and adventure racing. There’s something for every adventurer.

Kendal Mountain Festival
