What You Need To Know

Details

Our spacious bunkhouse in the Lake District is budget, self-catering group accommodation with everything you need. For example, it suits cyclists, walkers and family groups. After a big day in the great outdoors, you can relax in our brand-new facilities.

The bunkhouse is a restful base for exploring the Lake District National Park. It sits on the Coffin Route between Ambleside and Grasmere, and our onsite tea shop overlooks Rydal Beck. What’s more, Rydal Water, Nab Scar and the Fairfield Horseshoe are all on our doorstep.

Bunkhouse rooms

  • Room 1 sleeps 3 (One single bed and one bunk bed)
  • Room 2 sleeps 6 (Three bunk beds)
  • Room 3 sleeps 9 (One single bed and four bunk beds)
  • Room 4 sleeps 10 (Five bunk beds)

The three and 6-bed dorms are en-suite. The nine and 10-bed dorms use the toilets and showers on the ground floor. The rate includes pillows and pillowcases. However, please bring all other bedding.

Facilities

All the bunk beds now have new memory foam mattresses, so you can enjoy a comfortable night’s rest. Each bedroom has storage space and hanging rails for clothes. There is also a shelf beside each bunk for your phone, books and glasses. Each room also has a mirror and coat hooks on the door.

The first-floor communal room has new furniture, a table and chairs, a TV and a wood burner. Your first bag of logs is free, and you can buy more from reception.

Next door, the fully equipped kitchen is beside the communal room and includes a cooker, microwave, crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils. Extra shelving has been added for better storage of food and drinks.

We have also sanded and revarnished the lounge floor, and freshly painted the interior to brighten the place up.

In addition, we have refurbished all the downstairs shower floors and added partitions where you can hang your belongings.

As a result, the bunkhouse is ideal for retreat and event groups who want simple, self-catering accommodation in the Lake District. However, catered packages are also available.
