Rydal Hall wants everyone to be able to use our website and enjoy our estate. This statement covers the website www.rydalhall.org and the accessibility of our buildings and grounds.
Using our website
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. We aim for our pages to work with the accessibility tools built into most browsers and devices, such as zooming in, changing colours and fonts, and using a screen reader.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- some booking terms and conditions are PDF documents, which may not work well with screen readers
- the map of our grounds is an image, so the information in it is not available as text
- some text sits on top of photographs, which can make it harder to read
- online bookings are made through a third-party booking system that we do not control
- some older images may not have text descriptions
We are working to improve these areas.
Visiting Rydal Hall
Rydal Hall is a Grade II listed building, and due to its historic nature some areas may present accessibility challenges. All our bedrooms in the Hall are reached by stairs, so the first and second floors may not be suitable for people with mobility difficulties.
If you have mobility difficulties or any specific accessibility requirements, please call us before booking. We will be happy to talk through your needs and help you decide whether our accommodation, venues and grounds are right for your visit.
