Being – Quiet Day

May 16, 2026

£20

Led by Bob Morley and Catriona Messenger

Following on from last October’s Quiet Day at Rydal Hall, themed “Yearnings from the Heart,”
Bob and Catriona are delighted to extend a heartfelt invitation to deepen our interior journey of “Just Being.”

This gathering offers a spacious and gentle environment in which we can pause from the momentum of daily life and turn towards the deeper movements within. In a world that often pulls us in many directions, the practice of simply being — resting in awareness, without striving or effort — opens a doorway to an inner stillness that is always present but frequently overlooked.

Throughout our time together, we will explore how the mind’s constant activity, with its thoughts, worries, and habitual patterns, can be allowed to gently soften. As this mental noise gradually quietens, we become more receptive to the subtle, intuitive qualities of our true spiritual nature. This essence, which many traditions recognise as Love or Divine Presence, reveals itself not through doing, but through spacious, open-hearted awareness.

The day will include periods of silence, guided reflection, gentle contemplative practices, and opportunities simply to rest in the beauty of the surroundings. Participants are invited to approach the experience with curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to let go into a deeper way of listening — both to themselves and to the quiet invitation of the Spirit.

Bob and Catriona warmly welcome all who feel drawn to take this next step on their inner journey, whether you joined the previous Quiet Day or are coming for the first time. Together, we hope to create a space of stillness, presence, and deep connection with the Love that underlies all things.
