Welcome to the Rydal Hall Website

Please look around the different areas which will give you a taste of the facilities that we can offer at Rydal Hall. We are situated literally in the heart of the English Lake District with wonderful views over the Rothay Valley and Rydal Water with the Fairfield Horseshoe and Nab Scar as a backdrop. The Hall dates back the 16th and 19th century and is the Carlisle Diocesan Retreat and Conference centre, together with being home to the international Rydal Hall Community.

As you will find out we can offer a variety of facilities from en-suite bedrooms, bunk house accommodation to a holiday cottage and campsite all with fantastic views. We can cater for individual holidays and retreats, day and residential conferences and holidays plus our own programme of retreats and holidays.

We also have a new Old School room Teashop which is set by the Rydal falls and overlooking the famous restored Thomas Mawson designed gardens.
