Rydal Hall's European Community
Rydal’s resident community is made up of young people from across Europe who come to live and work with us and experience communal living in a Christian environment.
Currently we have community members from Croatia, Hungary, Italy and England. Many join us for six months to a year or come to work short-time for the summer. Accommodation is on-site with each member having their own bedroom in a chalet with a shared bathroom. A living area and kitchen is in a separate chalet for all the community to use.
Resident community members work in three departments, front of house, housekeeping and tea-shop.
Rev David Wilmott, our Chaplain is also Priest in Charge of Grasmere and Rydal and is at the Hall most of the week leading the Community’s pattern of prayer. David is experienced in leading Quiet Days, Retreats, Bible Reflections and in offering Spiritual Direction.
We are unable to sponsor charity work visa applications.
EEA nationals must show eligibility to work in the UK (pre-settled status)
