Our Cumbrian Yurt is a major feature of Rydal Hall Estate and provides an opportunity for artists to both work and display their work in a spectacular environment.
When we host an Artist in Residence Day there is the opportunity to meet the artist and to see them at work. Many artists will have examples of their work on display available for purchase. The Art Yurt will be open 10.00am – 4.00pm on Artist in Residence Days and admission is free. You might also like to take the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful Rydal Hall Gardens and to sample a selection of delicious home-made goodies in our Tea Shop.
Art Workshops are also run from the Art Yurt. To make a booking for a workshop please contact the artists directly by following their links.
The Art Yurt is situated only yards from one of Lakeland’s most beautiful waterfalls and is directly on the Coffin Route from Ambleside to Grasmere. It is surrounded by acres of mixed woodland and formal gardens.
