We provide an informal and friendly environment for people looking for a spiritual retreat or quiet contemplation.
But equally we welcome guests looking for a comfortable place to relax after a day’s activities in the Lake District. Whatever your reason for visiting Rydal Hall, you will leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Community
Owned by the Diocese of Carlisle, Rydal Hall is one of a few Christian centres in the UK with a live-in international community. They don’t just come here to work, but come to serve our guests ‘over and above’ what is expected whilst practising their English language, developing practical skills and exploring their faith.
We currently have people from Hungary, South Korea, Ghana, The Gambia, South Africa, New Zealand and the UK.
